I have been researching and teaching creative thinking and innovation for over 15 years. One of the essential basics of creativity for both individuals and teams is our ability to play.
Most of the techniques we use in the workshops take advantage of our ability to play with ideas, concepts and situations to generate original and different solutions. However, this ability often remains prey to logic, ego and our inhibitions.
Einstein said: “The intuitive mind is a sacred gift, and the rational mind is a faithful servant.” How can we then make the most of both?
One of the most powerful ways we have to access our intuitive minds is through play. Play lowers our ego, puts logic on hold for a while and frees us from inhibitions. Then, logic can — from play — draw valuable conclusions that become learnings and actions for our life.
When I met the PLAYMOBIL pro kit for the first time, it was love at first sight. An opportunity to expand the world of post-its, graphics and schematic to the world in 3 Dimensions.
In 2019, together with other experts who have contributed feedback, techniques, and tools, I had designed a process based on the combination of years of experience of using creative play in professional environments, and the possibilities of a kit like PLAYMOBIL pro can give for modelling.
The result is Pro.Play®️ — a unique program that compiles tools and techniques organized under various applications. Professionals who want to apply to play in professional environments can do it in the best possible way and achieve excellent results.
